Following a very successful eight months in our technical team, we’re delighted to announce that James Gagg has been promoted to Technical Manager, to continue to help innovative companies with their R&D claims whilst also supporting, developing and training our Tax Associates & Engineering Graduates.
James’ Background
James has always had a deep love for motorsports, paving out a 15-year career in the sector. In his younger years James and his dad shared the same passion for motorsport and would build kit cars together, this love for all things engines carried on into adult life and his professional career.
James spent six years of his career working with the Mercedes F1 team, starting as a junior engineer and working his way up to running his own small team within advanced measurements, before moving onto Mahle Powertrain where he started within the measurements team and quickly worked his way up to middle management working on everything related to testing and electronics.
Jame’s Career with CBTax
James took on a few smaller contracts before coming to work for CBTax as our Technical Consultant, where he writes up the technical reports for claims that are to be submitted to HMRC for R&D tax relief. James has also picked up some other responsibilities alongside his day-to-day role like reviewing other reports and offering advice where needed to team members.
As Technical Manager, James will be responsible for supporting Technical Associate Director, Dainis in overseeing and leading our technical team, ensuring the successful execution of projects, and contributing to the continued growth and innovation of our organisation. With his wealth of experience and proven track record, we are confident that James will excel in this new role and make significant contributions to the success of our team.
